How do I apply?

When do I need to apply?

Pacific Primary acceptance is based on the needs of the school, not by the date of the application. To be considered for Fall enrollment you must apply by November 1, prior to the enrollment year. Your child must be two years old by the end of February for the requested enrollment year, to be eligible for attendance (state licensing regulation). We will send an email to confirm receipt of your child’s application.

Does my child have to be potty trained?

Children must be two and a half and potty trained by enrollment in September. We do not have the staff or space to change diapers. Children must be comfortable on the toilet and may not wear pull-ups or training pants. If accepted, we will call you in early August to see if your child is potty trained. If your child is not ready, we will ask you to defer enrollment, as we do not want a child to begin school and have to leave because they are not ready.

How do I sign up for a tour?

You must apply before November 1, prior to the enrollment year, to attend a tour. Tours run from December through early February. Tours are usually held on Wednesday mornings from 9am-10:30am. Because of the large number of applicants we are only able to accommodate tours for current year applicants.

When are acceptance letters sent?

Letters of acceptance are emailed in early March.

How does the Wait Pool work?

You will be sent either an acceptance letter or a Wait Pool letter. We are unable to accept all the wonderful families that apply. The Wait Pool is used to fill openings during the school year, as well as for future year openings. If you are in the Wait Pool, you do not need to apply for future enrollment years. You will be sent an updated questionnaire each year that must be returned to remain in the Wait Pool. The questionnaire will be sent in December to Wait Pool families.

When should I apply for Tuition Assistance?

The application and fact sheet for tuition assistance is available on our tuition assistance page. Please review the application instructions and return with all required documentation. Applications submitted without the required documentation will not be processed. You must have completed your prior year tax forms, therefore the application is NOT possible to complete for most families until early winter. The deadline for the tuition assistance application and paystubs is early January. All other required tax forms are due mid-February.
