Fundraising FAQs

THE FUND FOR ALL | SEPTEMBER – DECEMBER

Our most important fundraiser of the year! Our goals are to raise $350,000 and reach 100% participation from our community!

We ask every member of the Pacific Primary community to donate. We know that each family is unique and your donation, no matter the amount, is meaningful. We are deeply grateful for your support and participation. Every gift of every size makes a difference in our children’s lives!

HERE COMES THE SUN EVENT | MARCH 15

An adult party for parents, staff, friends, and alumni to celebrate our community and raise funds for the school. Our goal is to raise $300,000 this year.

THE FUND FOR THE FUTURE | JUNE

Graduating families are invited to continue a long-standing tradition of donating all or part of their last month’s tuition deposit to the school, investing in their child’s past and the future of our school community.

WHEN YOU DONATE TO PACIFIC PRIMARY, YOU ARE SUPPORTING:

THE PACIFIC PRIMARY EXPERIENCE

Donations support everything that goes into delivering our high-quality full-day program accessible to working families.

From purchasing supplies to providing emergent experiences and daily music, movement, and expressive arts programming.

TEACHER RECRUITMENT & RETENTION

Donations support anti-bias education workshops and training specific to developmental stages to ensure our teachers remain at the forefront of educational best practices.

Donations also empower us to attract and retain exceptional educators by offering competitive salaries and benefits.

TUITION ASSISTANCE

Pacific Primary is dedicated to enhancing economic diversity and ensuring our program is accessible to as many families as possible.

25% of our families receive tuition assistance, and your donation ensures strong economic diversity in our community.

We encourage every member of the Pacific Primary community to contribute to the Fund For All. Recognizing that each family has its own circumstances, we view full participation as a powerful endorsement of our commitment to our students, staff, and mission. Achieving high participation serves as an important indicator of community support and parent engagement, and is a key measure used by the National Association of Independent Schools to assess overall support and approval.

It is incredibly helpful for the school to know how much we have raised before finalizing our budget for next year.

Raising tuition would likely result in the loss of many students whose families cannot afford the increase. A drop in enrollment would lead to cuts in our programs, staff, and a less economically diverse community.

A gift is an immediate financial contribution made with cash, check, or credit card. A pledge, on the other hand, is a promise to contribute a specific amount at a later date. Pledges provide donors with the flexibility to plan their giving over time. For many families, factors such as bonus schedules, tax planning, and other financial obligations influence the timing of their donations. If this applies to you, we encourage you to consider making a pledge today, with the commitment to fulfill it by August 31.
